[Of course it's all for that! He didn't realize he had gone through his supply in his room, again, and Orthos was in sleep mode, and after last time... it turns out even 3am was not safe to head out of his room. In saying that, he wouldn't be wearing his lab coat this time, so no more 'evil spirit of a mad scientist' prowling the halls of Nightraven, but after learning it had stuck around as a rumor, it had shaken him up a little about going out and risking it again. Or what if someone actually linked up the whole 'blue fire' to him?!
Honestly he's a little surprise no one has yet... He assumed the students at the school were smarter than that. Guess not.]
Oh! Star fragments, and skull candy, and chocolate and [And he could keep going, but realizing that, well, Yuu was going out of their way to do this for him, he shouldn't be so demanding. It was so easy to get caught up in the want for all the sugar.]
[As excited as Idia is for the help, and of course the snacks to come, that high doesn't last long. Crashing quickly as he realizes that, well, he just made Yuu go out of their way. At 3am. Oh. Hm. He really should do something in exchange.
Yuu won't hear anything until they do arrive at Idia's door, the sounds of him getting stuff out of his way and getting to the door to answer it.]
[When Yuu does arrive, they've gotten everything Idia's asked for, as well as a few other things that caught their eye at the time.
They wait quietly and patiently for Idia to answer the door, then grin once he does, holding the bag out with everything they'd gotten from the vending machine.]
[Any self doubt and second guessing is instantly forgotten upon seeing that bag of snacks, not even having a chance to be surprised at how much Yuu got him, just too happy at having them. That wide, toothy grin of his flashed across Idia's face for a bright moment, before brought back to reality and remembering that, a) he had still made Yuu go out of their way for him, and b) had brought it all the way from Ramshackle to Ignihyde. And to his room.
That all made that smile slip, returning back to something more reserved and controlled, his voice quiet as he answers.] Thank you, Yuu. Oh, [Then remembering. Idia vanished into his room once more, leaving the door open a crack but no offer to invite Yuu in because, well, it's Idia. There's more sounds of stuff getting thrown out of the way before his head appeared once again, shoving something in his hand towards Yuu.] Here, I fixed it. [Holding out a circular disc, about the size of his palm and soft to the touch.] It won't catch fire anymore. [The mini-heater is also something clearly designed for Idia originally, it decorated with his normal triangle designs and with a skull button to activate it.]
[Their expression brightens a bit at that grin, though they blink as Idia disappears back into the room.
They're at least not expecting in invitation inside, because yeah, it's Idia, so they quietly wait as he does... whatever it is. They blink as the item's shoved towards them, but take it, eyes lighting up a bit in curiosity.]
Oh. You didn't have to... [But they are smiling a bit as they run their thumb over the mini-heater.] ... Thank you.
I-I know, but, well... you came out, at this time of night, and you didn't have to. And, [Ok, no, just, just take it Yuu, don't ask him to explain.
Though Idia has enough socializing energy left to at least give a quick tutorial on the mini heater, pointing out parts as he did. Though this could partly be because it's talking about a piece of technology, and it was easier to get himself lost talking about how things worked before he would catch the fact he's even talking to someone.] To turn it on and off you hold down the button for three seconds and it will start to heat up. It won't take too long to do it. I designed it so could be recharged through a cable or magic, so Grim can use his fire on it and for you and it will give it a full charge again.
[And with that out of the way he realizes once again that they are standing at his doorway in the middle of the morning. Is... is it rude if he just goes 'bye' and closes the door on Yuu?] Ah, well... [Ok, no, that's what he needs to do.] Thank you. Again. [Idia's head starting to slip away back behind his door during this.]
[Yuu listens carefully to the explanation and nods.]
Okay, got it. Thank you!
[... They tuck the heater away and offer Idia a smile.]
It's no problem. Have a nice night.
[Since Idia's pretty clearly done with the conversation, Yuu's not about to drag it out much longer. Instead they just offer a wave before they turn to head back to their own dorm.
Well. That sure turned out better for everyone involved than it could've.]
